Mahanagar Gas Limited, (MGL), one of India’s leading Natural Gas Distribution Companies, incorporated on 8 May 1995. MGL is an enterprise of GAIL (India) Limited (Maharatna Company of Govt. of India), Government of Maharashtra, and BG Asia Pacific Holdings Pte. Limited (owned by Royal Dutch Shell group).
Microturbine of 65KW at MGL-O&M Office, Mahape, Navi Mumbai is capable of catering clean and green power to the total building load of around 50 – 55KW. In addition to it, turbine exhaust is directed to the existing VAM resulting in electrical savings. Since Microturbine works on patented air bearing technology, it does not necessitate the use of liquid consumables like a lube (Oil, Grease, etc.) or Coolant (water). This exclusive higher level of technology differentiates the Capstone microturbine from the queue of other available power generation technologies. Earlier power required by MGL office was catered by Gas Engine of (—KVA) with large footprint area, noise, carbon footprints along with Quarterly high maintenance scheduled.
M/S Brio Energy Private Limited has environment sensitivity and customer delight as its prime focus. Keeping in view our vision, we partnered with Capstone Turbine Corporation, USA. BEPL, Exclusive distributors of Capstone Microturbine in India, supplied, installed, and successfully commissioned Microturbine in October 2019.
This is now running successfully since 1500+hrs generating power and also required chilling at the same time increasing the overall system efficiency. All this power is mainly used in the building utilities like pumps, blowers, lift, VAM, and other machinery.
Finally, our microturbines are found to be a more energy-efficient and reliable source of power as compared to the existing system.
